Role Description

Join Barclays as MI Analyst where you’ll play a pivotal role within the Business Insights & Analytics team to lead the delivery of key insights and analytics to support the Wholesale Lending Operations business in an effective and efficient manner in line with company policies and procedures, continually driving improvements in areas around governance, process, people and technology including data extraction, data storage, data analysis, data visualisation and data modelling. Your role will be responsible in design, deployment and production management and business insight, managing the production of reporting and analytics in line with agreed business requirements.

To be successful in this role, you should have,

  • Extensive experience, minimum of 12+ years of experience in financial Services with 8+ years in MIS (Management Information system) / Business Analytics.
  • Knowledge and practical experience of Operational Risk frameworks, policies and procedures.
  • Good understanding of how MI & Analytics is used and the influence this has on key decision making.
  • Prior experience in SQL, Tableau/ data visualisation, Alteryx/ETL tools, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Hands on experience in data analysis and MI production along with strong compliance knowledge.

  • Effective communication and presentation skill with an ability to communicate effectively to stakeholders and wider compliance teams.
  • Attention to detail with an ability to deliver high quality work under tight deadlines.
  • High level of personal integrity and respect for our regulatory requirement.

  • Math or Computer Science degree

This role is based in our Noida office.

Purpose of the role

To support Wholesale Lending with day-to-day processing, reviewing, reporting, trading and issue resolution.

Accountabilities

  • Support with day-to-day Wholesale Lending initiatives including processing, reviewing, reporting, trading and issue resolution through lending technical expertise.
  • Monitoring the bank’s lending operations to ensure that they are conducted in an efficient and effective manner and comply with relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Collaboration with teams across the bank to align and integrate Wholesale Lending processes.
  • Identification of areas for improvement and providing recommendations for change in Wholesale Lending processes.
  • Development and implementation of Wholesale Lending procedures and controls to mitigate risks and maintain operational efficiency.
  • Development of reports and presentations on Wholesale Lending performance and communicate findings to internal senior stakeholders.
  • Identification of industry trends and developments to implement best practice in Wholesale Lending Services.
  • Participation in projects and initiatives to improve Wholesale Lending efficiency and effectiveness.
