Role Description

To Update, monitor & audit Configuration Management database on a regular basis. Maintain the accuracy & integrity of the information stored in CMDB. Upon request from the customer provide real time reporting, analysis from CMDB. Work with the design function and ITIL Service Management functions to provide excellent service.

Key Responsibilities

• Make sure updates to Inventory database are done on regular basis on the daily requests. .
• Should have an ability to validate the information provided to be fed in CMDB
• Regular audit should be conducted to maintain the integrity & accuracy of CMDB.
• When appropriate communicate recommendations to the customer.
• Good understanding of Network & CI’s.
• Good Exposure to tools like SNOW, Remedy.
• Understanding of CI’s & their relationships.
• Should have an ability to work with Technical teams & understand the network & update database accordingly basis on the information provided.
• Review and recommend improvements to existing CM processes.
• Good Excel skills to help other technical teams with the reports to be extracted from CMDB.
• Should be proactive in understanding a requests on Inventory perspective.
• Maintain data quality, integrity and security of CM database.
• Check and update systems and reports to maintain accuracy.
• Where possible automate data analysis to improve efficiency.
• Share information and work with the other Service Management ITIL functions to deliver service.
• Comply with security requirements.

• The role is focused on ensuring the accuracy of CMDB which will further help network teams in RCA & problem solving.

Skills & Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills, spoken and written English.
• Two years’ experience in a Configuration Management Role.
• ITIL certification would be an advantage.
• MS Office Excel will be helpful.
• MS Office Access would be useful.
