Description

– Query Development: Write, optimize, and maintain complex queries to support various business needs.
– Data Analysis: Analyze data requirements and create efficient queries to extract, manipulate, and report data.
– Performance Tuning: Optimize query performance and troubleshoot slow-running queries.
– Backup and Recovery: Develop, manage, and test backup and recovery plans to ensure data integrity and availability.
– Security: Implement and maintain database security (user roles, permissions, etc.) and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
– Optimization: Optimize database performance through indexing, query optimization, and other techniques.
– Documentation: Document query logic, processes, and best practices.
– Testing: Develop and execute test plans to ensure data accuracy and query performance.
– Support: Provide support for database-related issues and assist in data migration projects.

Requirements:

– Experience: Proven experience in writing and optimizing MySQL queries with MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MariaDB
– Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of SQL and MySQL database management.
– Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
– Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
– Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Good to have:

– Familiarity with data warehousing and ETL processes.
– Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation.
– Experience with database performance tuning and indexing strategies.
