The IDFC FIRST Technology Code-a-thon Challenge is an exclusive hiring opportunity for final-year B.E./B. Tech Computer Science and IT students. This two-stage coding challenge will test your technical capabilities through real-world problem statements and hands-on coding tasks.

Those who successfully clear the challenge will earn an opportunity to interview for a full-time Software Developer/Application Engineer role at IDFC FIRST Bank across our tech hubs in Bangalore, Chennai, and Hyderabad.

• Final-year B.E./B.Tech students (8th Semester) from Computer Science or Information Technology disciplines only
• Must be below 26 years of age
• Must have a minimum of 55% marks in Class X and XII
• Should not have an immediate blood relative working at IDFC FIRST Bank
• Must have no criminal record

• We are looking for a passionate Software Developer/Application Engineer to join our team, ideal for final-year engineering students or recent graduates eager to start their careers in software development.
• You will work with experienced engineers to build, test and improve applications while learning industry best practices. Your responsibilities include developing and debugging software, collaborating with teams to understand project needs, and staying updated on new technologies.
• You should have knowledge of at least one programming language (Python, Java, C++, JavaScript, etc.), an understanding of data structures, algorithms, and OOPS concepts, and familiarity with databases and version control systems like Git.
• Additional exposure to cloud platforms, front-end or back-end frameworks, and DevOps principles is a plus. This role offers a great learning experience and the opportunity to grow as a developer.

• Top performers from this round will move to Stage 2

Shortlisted candidates will take part in an in-person final technical interview round to be scheduled on the dates below across our locations of Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad.
If shortlisted for interviews, you can choose an early interview date from these dates for your interviews.

We insist that you do not attempt to use unfair practices to cheat / plagiarise / get any help from friends or colleagues. Even taking external help from fellow coders is not permitted. Our High-Tech systems capture Audio (sounds) and the entire Video through-out the test duration. Our state-of-the art AI capabilities detect face and body movement and are able to detect any form of plagiarism / proctoring malpractices. Participants identified indulging in any such unethical behaviour will be disqualified from this and further steps in the selection process.
