The biggest battery under ₹20,000, a fast 4nm chip, IP68+IP69 protection, and Android 16 out of the box. Here is everything you need to know.

iQOO launched the Z11x 5G in India on March 12, 2026, as the successor to the Z10x from last year. The main feature of this phone is its large 7,200mAh battery, which is the biggest in the sub-₹20,000 range. This battery is paired with the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Turbo chip. The phone also has IP68 and IP69 water resistance ratings, a rare feature at this price point.

The phone will be available for sale from March 16 on Amazon and the iQOO India e-store. It comes in three variants. The base model, with 6GB and 128GB, starts at ₹18,999, but you can get it for ₹16,999 with bank card discounts. The Vivo T5x 5G, a similar device, launches on March 17 via Flipkart. It has similar core specs to this phone, but is expected to be slightly cheaper.

Here’s what you should know: the specs, the price, how it stacks up against similar products, and if it’s worth the money.

The Battery — The Main Reason to Consider This Phone

The 7,200mAh silicon-carbon battery is the phone’s main highlight. It’s the key reason for its existence. Most phones in the ₹18,000 to ₹22,000 range ship with 5,000mAh to 5,500mAh batteries. The Z11x’s battery is 40% larger than the category average.

iQOO’s battery health lasts up to six years thanks to silicon-carbon cell technology. The 7,200mAh battery charges in just 90 minutes using 44W fast charging. It also supports reverse charging.

  • Expected screen-on time: With the battery size and Dimensity 7400 Turbo’s efficiency, you can expect 1.5 to 2 days of moderate use.

  • Charging caveat: No adapter is confirmed to be included in the box — verify at purchase

Display — The Compromise at This Price

The 6.76-inch FHD+ LCD at 120Hz does its job. The 1,200 nits peak brightness is genuinely useful for outdoor visibility. The TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light certification and the Eye Comfort system are great for daily use.

The LCD panel is the most significant trade-off at this price. Many phones over ₹15,000 have AMOLED displays. Examples include the Redmi Note 15, Realme Narzo Power, and Samsung Galaxy M35. These screens offer deeper blacks and improved color contrast. iQOO chose LCD to lower costs. This helps fund the large battery and IP rating. However, it’s a compromise for buyers who watch a lot of videos or use their phone in dark places. In those situations, AMOLED’s black levels are important.

  • Who it bothers: Media consumers, video viewers, and buyers who have used AMOLED before.

  • Who it’s fine for: Users who care more about battery life, durability, and performance than about display quality.

Performance — Dimensity 7400 Turbo and What It Means

The MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Turbo is a 4nm chip. It scores about 1 million points on AnTuTu. This supports iQOO’s claim of being the ‘segment fastest.’ It outperforms the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 and Dimensity 7100 in many similarly priced phones.

UFS 3.1 storage is faster than UFS 2.2, which is common in budget phones. App installs, camera saves, and file operations are all quicker. This phone has a fast chip, quick storage, and up to 8GB of extended virtual RAM. So, it manages gaming, photography, and multitasking smoothly without slowdowns.

The gaming suite features:

  • Monster Mode

  • Dual 10x Super Touch Control

  • 4D Game Vibration

These are software updates that iQOO aims at gamers. The phone isn’t strictly a gaming device, but it performs better in mobile gaming than you’d expect for the price.

Camera — Good Main Lens, Weak Secondary

The 50MP Sony IMX852 is a popular sensor found in much pricier phones. Sony sensors often shine in daylight, surpassing what their pixel count implies. The IMX852 collects light better than less expensive 50MP options. The 4K front camera at 32MP is really impressive for this price. This feature sets the Z11x apart from the upcoming Vivo T5x, which only has an 8MP front camera.

The 2MP depth sensor is largely for computational bokeh effects. It adds nothing practically beyond what a good AI portrait mode could achieve without it. Not having an ultrawide camera is a big drawback. Most competitor phones in this range have one.

  • Strong: 50MP Sony IMX852 main sensor, 32MP 4K front camera

  • Weak: No ultrawide lens, 2MP depth sensor adds little value, no OIS low-light can be shaky

IP68 + IP69 — Genuinely Rare Under ₹20,000

Dual IP68 and IP69 ratings on a phone under ₹20,000 is unusual. IP68 covers submersion in water up to 1.5 metres for 30 minutes. IP69 offers protection against high-pressure water jets and steam cleaning. This rating comes from standards for industrial equipment. The Z11x has MIL-STD-810H military-grade certification. This makes it much more durable than most phones in its price range.

For buyers in India who use their phones in rain, dust, or near construction, this matters. It’s also great for those who want a phone that can handle a bathroom drop. Many budget phones overlook this feature.

How It Compares — iQOO Z11x vs Vivo T5x vs Redmi Note 15

The Vivo T5x is worth watching closely. It shares the same core chip and battery as the Z11x but is expected to launch at a lower price point.

Key differences:

  • The Z11x has a 32MP front camera; the T5x has only 8MP.

  • The Z11x is confirmed IP68/IP69, while the T5x’s protection is unconfirmed.

  • The Z11x features an LED notification ring and an IR blaster.

If the T5x launches at ₹15,999, it’s a good choice for buyers. They value the low price more than extra features.

The Redmi Note 15 offers an AMOLED display at a similar price the primary reason to choose it over the Z11x. The Z11x has a bigger battery, a better front camera, a higher IP rating, and faster storage. These features make it the better all-around choice. The Redmi wins on display quality alone.

Should You Buy It?

Choose the iQOO Z11x 5G for excellent battery life. It’s tough, resisting water and dust. If you don’t need an AMOLED display or ultrawide camera, this is your phone.

Consider the Vivo T5x if the Z11x seems pricey and you can skip the 32MP front camera and confirmed IP rating. The T5x should offer similar battery life and performance at a lower price. Check the official specs on March 17 before making your choice.

Look at the Redmi Note 15 or Samsung Galaxy M35 if display quality matters most to you. You’ll have to accept a smaller battery and lower IP protection for the AMOLED screen.

  • Buy if: Battery life is key, you need IP68/IP69 durability, or want a fast front camera at this price.

  • Skip if: You want an AMOLED display, need an ultrawide camera, or seek faster charging than 44W.

  • Wait if: The Vivo T5x is priced well after its March 17 launch. It could offer similar performance for ₹3,000 to ₹4,000 less.

Wrapping Up

The iQOO Z11x 5G stands out in the sub-₹20,000 range. Its 7,200mAh battery is the biggest in this segment. The Dimensity 7400 Turbo beats most rival chips at this price. IP68 and IP69 ratings are genuinely rare here. The 32MP 4K front camera is better than what most budget phones offer.

The LCD panel is the real compromise and it is the one that will matter most to buyers who have used AMOLED. This phone is perfect for those seeking a durable, fast daily driver. Plus, it won’t cost more than ₹20,000.

  • Display: 76″ LCD 120Hz functional but no AMOLED

  • Performance: Dimensity 7400 Turbo 1M+ AnTuTu, segment-leading

  • Battery: 7,200mAh + 44W the headline advantage

  • Durability: IP68 + IP69 + MIL-STD-810H rare under ₹20K

  • Camera: 50MP Sony IMX852 + 32MP 4K selfie strong front, no ultrawide

  • Price: ₹18,999 to ₹22,999 — ₹16,999 to ₹20,999 with bank offer

Sale starts March 16 on Amazon. Use the Axis Bank or SBI credit card discount. Buy the 8GB + 128GB variant for the best balance of RAM and value.
