Job Summary:

As an analyst at PayPal’s Cybersecurity Defense Center, you will monitor, respond to security threats, collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance our incident response capabilities. Your expertise will drive innovation in the evolving cyber defense threat landscape, safeguarding our digital assets and users’ data to ensure secure online transactions and protecting the privacy of our customers’ information. Together, we will defend against emerging threats and build a resilient security foundation.

Job Description:

Essential Responsibilities:

• Independently handle assignments that require foundational knowledge of security technologies and processes while developing business expertise.
• Work closely with peers and experienced team members to strengthen cyber threat management practices. Take direction, contribute to team processes, and continuously learn while establishing relationships within the security domain.
• Apply sound judgment within established cyber threat management processes and procedures to assess and respond to security incidents and tasks.
• Identify and recommend efficiency improvements within the team and related peer teams to enhance cyber threat management. Contributes to process development.

Expected Qualifications:

• 1+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Monitor, respond to various forms of security threats Deep dive of analysis and investigations as part of daily activities, addressing complex threats faced by PayPal Collaborate with peers and possess active learning attitude to enhance our incident response capabilities Partner with internal teams to contribute to cross-functional projects, and at times co-lead efforts to strengthen PayPal’s security posture Being an active team player and contribute to the team’s output through active participation and investigation of all types of security events, ranging from host to network Always remain at the forefront of the ever evolving cyber threat landscape Stay updated continuously with cybersecurity news, playing a crucial role in safeguarding our infrastructure and defending against emerging threats

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience and a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
