About the role

We are looking for a skilled PL/SQL Developer to join our team at BayRock Labs. In this role, you will work closely with business analysts, project managers, and other developers to design, implement, and maintain robust database solutions that meet the organization’s business needs. As part of our dynamic team, you will contribute to building high-performance systems and ensure data integrity across applications.

What you’ll do

• Database Development: Design, develop, and optimize PL/SQL code, including packages, procedures, functions, and triggers, to meet business requirements.
• Performance Tuning: Analyze and improve query performance to enhance application efficiency.
• Data Management: Create and maintain database objects such as tables, views, indexes, and sequences.
• Integration: Collaborate with application developers to integrate database solutions into business applications.
• Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve database-related issues, ensuring the reliability and availability of data.

Required Skills and Experience

• Proven experience (3+ years) as a PL/SQL Developer.
• Expertise in writing and optimizing complex PL/SQL code, including packages, procedures, functions, and triggers.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle database architecture and concepts.
• Proficiency in performance tuning and debugging PL/SQL code.
• Familiarity with data modeling and database design principles.
• Experience in integrating databases with applications.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with tools like Oracle SQL Developer or Toad.
• Familiarity with ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.
• Knowledge of additional programming languages like Java or Python is a plus.
• Experience with cloud-based databases such as Oracle Cloud is desirable.
